Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
We collect very little about you. We don’t run accounts, we don’t sell data, and we never see your Social Security number or benefit details. The main things to know: our analytics and ads use cookies, and anything you send through the contact form goes to our email inbox.
1. Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Information you give us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the message you write. That’s it. We don’t ask for, and don’t want, your Social Security number, benefit case numbers, or passwords.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting, analytics, and advertising partners automatically receive standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site.
2. How we use it
- To respond to messages you send through the contact form.
- To understand which pages readers find useful, so we can improve them.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
3. Cookies
This site uses cookies: small files stored on your device. Some keep the site working properly; others come from our analytics and advertising partners and help them show relevant ads and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
4. Display advertising
We plan to show display ads to support the site. Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings or industry opt-out pages such as aboutads.info.
5. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns, such as which articles get the most readers. This data is anonymous in practice and is never combined with contact-form messages.
6. External links
Our articles link to official program sites (the FCC, USAC) and to Lifeline providers. Their privacy practices are their own. We encourage you to read their policies before submitting personal information on their sites.
7. Children’s privacy
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@tabletgovernment.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. The “last updated” date at the top will always show the current version. Significant changes will be noted here.
